Process: As you can see, the rich and intricate totemic art on the gong is all hand-carved. The subtle indentations brought about by hand-carving enable the sound vibration to produce more rich overtones. 
Meaning: The six-character mantra is regarded as the heart mantra of Guanyin Bodhisattva, embodying the essence of compassion and wisdom. Engraved on the gong, it means that with each vibration, this set of powerful purifying and blessing frequencies is being played in the space. 
Body: Smooth ancient-style brass (sound carrier) 
The yellow brass, crafted using traditional techniques, has a rich texture and, after oxidation, presents a deep and rustic color. Yellow brass is an excellent acoustic conductor. Its vibration is profound, warm, and has a long-lasting reverberation, capable of generating a highly enveloping low-frequency sound field, and is easy to resonate deeply with the body.

Use and Turn On 
Suspension: Hang the gong on a stable support using a rope, or when sitting, gently pinch the raised edge of the gong with the thumb and index finger of the non-dominant hand for suspension. 
Holding the mallet: Hold the wooden mallet firmly with both hands, and relax your wrists. 
Knocking: Using the red fabric part of the hammer head, strike the outer edge area of the gong surface with a "light touch - pull back" force (avoid directly hitting the densest area of the central engraved text), and look for the resonant point that enables it to vibrate fully. 
Listening: After the tapping, let go and listen as the residual sound naturally fades away. Feel the flow of sound waves in the space and within your body. 
Notes for Attention

This is a handmade product. Each side of the gong has its own unique color, oxidation marks and sound quality, which is a testament to its vitality. 
Do not scratch the engraved characters on the gong surface with hard objects. When cleaning, simply wipe it with a dry soft cloth.
